Academics & Assessment

Subjects, assessments, and report cards — one coherent academic record.

The academic module connects everything a school does in the classroom. Edu360 lets you define subjects and classes, assign teachers, configure grading scales, record continuous assessment scores and examination results, and generate report cards and transcripts — all from a single data set. Because attendance, discipline, and fee status live in the same system, the report card reflects the whole student, not just their marks.

1

Configure subjects, classes, and streams

Define the subjects offered at each grade level, create classes and streams, and set the teaching periods and credit weighting for each subject. Changes to the academic structure apply from the next term without disturbing historical data.

2

Record continuous assessment scores

Teachers enter continuous assessment marks directly into their class gradebook — tests, assignments, practicals, and project work — against a configured maximum and weighting. Scores are validated on entry so the gradebook never holds impossible values.

3

Run examinations and enter results

Create examination sittings per term and grade, link them to the timetable, and open result sheets for each subject. Invigilators and subject teachers enter scores after marking; the system computes totals and carries forward continuous assessment components automatically.

4

Apply configurable grading scales

Configure one or more grading scales — letters, grade points, distinctions, or pass/fail — and map score ranges to grades. Scales can differ by grade level or subject area to match your school’s policy or national examination requirements.

5

Compute ranks and subject averages

Once results are finalised, the system computes each student’s aggregate score, class rank, and subject averages automatically. Rankings are computed per class and stream, so reports reflect where the student stands within their actual cohort rather than an inflated pool.

6

Generate and print report cards

Produce formatted report cards for an entire class or an individual student in a single action. The report card pulls in subject scores, grades, attendance summary, class teacher remarks, and head teacher comments from the same database — no assembling data from separate sources.

7

Issue official transcripts

For leavers and alumni requesting academic records, produce a multi-year transcript that covers every term of study, all subjects and grades, and promotion decisions — formatted for submission to universities, employers, or regulatory bodies.

8

Give teachers their class lists

Each teacher sees their assigned classes and the current roll in their subject, with SEN flags and medical alerts surfaced where relevant. Class lists are always current because they draw from the live student records module.
