Attendance management in Hitaji ERP goes beyond a punch clock. HR defines shift types and assigns them to employees, staff clock in and out through the web app with optional geofencing to confirm they are on-site, and the system builds timesheets automatically from the records it collects. Overtime is computed against the applicable rules, exceptions are caught early, and attendance reports give managers the factual picture at the end of each period.

Define shift types and build rosters

Create as many shift types as your operation needs — standard day, night, rotating, split — with their start and end times, break allowances, and grace periods. Assign shifts to employees individually or in bulk, and publish a weekly roster so everyone knows their schedule.

Capture clock-in and clock-out

Employees clock in and out from any device. When geofencing is enabled, the system validates that the recorded location falls within the configured perimeter of their assigned work site — so remote reporting or buddy punching is not an option. Records are time-stamped and tied to the employee’s assigned shift for instant comparison.

Generate timesheets automatically

At the end of each period, attendance records roll up into timesheets per employee showing total hours worked, late arrivals, early departures, and absences. Timesheets are the input payroll draws on when processing variable pay components, so there is no separate data entry step between attendance and wages.

Compute overtime accurately

Overtime rules are configured per shift type — hours above the standard day, weekend multipliers, and public-holiday premiums. When an employee works beyond their scheduled hours, the excess is flagged and quantified automatically, ready for payroll to pick up and compensate correctly.

Regularise attendance exceptions

When an employee forgets to clock out, was working away from the primary site, or their device had a connectivity issue, they submit a regularisation request with the correct times and a reason. Their manager reviews and approves it, and the corrected record replaces the exception before the timesheet is finalised.

Run attendance reports

Period-end reports show attendance by employee, department, or shift, with summary statistics on punctuality, absence rate, and overtime hours. Drill through to individual records when a number looks unusual, or export the data for deeper analysis in your finance or HR reporting tools.
